Jazz with Ron Steen Band, Margie Gibson, Ed Bennett, Johnathon Lakey

Margie Gibson, now based in Portland, Oregon… has worked in the entertainment industry for several years in Los Angeles and Chicago… singer, BMI songwriter, Recording Artist, actress and teacher.

Early in her career, Margie opened shows for Mel Torme, Marvin Hamlisch, Danny Thomas, and toured extensively with Bob Hope.

Margie has sung and written for movies, jingles, television and corporate events, commercials and  recording artists.  Margie has appeared on the concert stage with big bands, jazz ensembles, original  bands and symphony orchestras.

Gibson’s tribute to American Popular Music (featuring songs by Irving Berlin & Leonard Bernstein) has been presented in LA and New York at the Waldorf Astoria and Jazz Bakery, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, among other venues.

Now in Portland! Gibson is busy re-uniting with musicians she knew from years back in LA and looking forward to working with the amazing jazz musicians based in the Pacific NW.

Margie’s CDs include “Say it with Music,” (American Popular Songbook, Irving Berlin tribute) “A Sheffield Christmas Collection”  (Sheffield Lab Recordings, Ojai, CA),“Sing with the Angels” (Angelsing Records, proceeds benefit charitable organizations)

Quite simply, the cover charge is equity paid directly to the artists that you are enjoying each night at Wilfs.

When you join us for drinks or dinner and plan on leaving before the 7pm music starts, we won’t ask for a cover charge. That does not mean you can come early and avoid paying the cover – we want to make sure our musicians are paid for their performance. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask your host.
