Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ron Steen Wednesday Vocal Jazz Jam at Wilfs. Wednesday May 7th, 7-9pm.
Ron Steen is a highly respected drummer and bandleader in Portland and a major figure in the city’s jazz scene. He is known as the “Godfather of Jazz Jams in Portland” for hosting jam sessions in the area for decades. Steen’s jam sessions have included musicians of all ages and backgrounds, making them a cornerstone of Portland’s jazz community.
These sessions are known for their inclusivity, providing opportunities for younger musicians to learn and grow. Steen’s jam sessions have helped develop notable artists like Chris Botti, Ben Wolfe, George Mitchell, and Phil Baker.
Ron’s talent, generosity, kindness, and warm smile are the essence of who he is.

COVER CHARGES apply when Wilfs features live music in our dining room and bar area – Wednesday – Saturday, 7pm.
Quite simply, the cover charge is equity paid directly to the artists that you are enjoying each night at Wilfs.
When you join us for drinks or dinner and plan on leaving before the 7pm music starts, we won’t ask for a cover charge. That does not mean you can come early and avoid paying the cover – we want to make sure our musicians are paid for their performance. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask your host.
